Approached by NHS Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) to create a brand that not only speaks to its patients and carers but also the researchers and scientists involved. To do this I needed to bring these people together, something GMMH is striving for, in order to develop a brand that represents everyone involved.
How to design a brand that harmonizes scientific research and innovation with mental health that retains its human touch and reflects empathy?
Synonymous with ideation and thinking differently, but also warmth and positivity.
A logomark that makes Research & Innovation spring to mind.
People coming together to create better treatments. Two minds are better than one!
Natural, sketch-like lines connote the journey of coming up with new ideas.
Inspired by wellbeing, curated by nature.
Nature has many positive benefits to wellbeing and the colour palette reflect this.
I have ensured the colours have strong enough contrast so that it still conveys confidence and assurance. The combination of these elements has led to the creation of a pallet that both caters towards patients and carers as well as the researchers involved.
Speaking to a diverse range of people, from different creeds, cultures and backgrounds. The brand needs to communicate in a clear and simple way.
Speaking to the right people, the right way.
Inclusive and honest, friendly but formal, assured but receptive – we may think like experts but we talk like people.
